A Message from the President
Since our foundation in 1974, we have been developing and manufacturing the functional health food under the corporate beliefs of "The Harmony of Human Beings and Mother Nature".
Nowadays the safety and quality of food is strictly asked than ever before.
I am keenly realizing the importance of our quality policy "the pursuit of safety from the viewpoint of consumers".
Currently, we supply Nattokinase, Ashitaba, Sesame Minerals and The Fermented Vegetable Extract.  Among our products, nattokinase (the functional enzyme which is contained in natto, Japanese traditional fermented soybean food) is especially increasing the attention at home and abroad.  We are the first company which introduced nattokinase to the market.
I believe that the remarkably increasing demand for this food material is a result of high evaluation by people in modern society.
21st century is the era of biotechnology.  We continue to make a social contribution through every industrial world, meet the consumer's needs and aim for more advanced research and development.

1974 Sep Foundation of Japan Bio Science Laboratory Co., Ltd.
Discovered the bacteria which has prominent productive ability of polysaccharide and enzyme in Bacillus subtilis natto
Succeeded culture of original strain from this bacteria by microbe strengthens method
At the same time developed the manufacturing method of long term maturation of enzyme and secretion which this original strain produces (Manufacturing method patent obtained)
Started manufacture and distribution of health drink of useful microbe
1876 Apr With the business expansion, increased the manufacturing line in Kyoto factory
1886 Aug Newly constructed the full facilities in Kyoto factory
Promoted research and development of health drink, base material for cosmetics, animal feed and water purification
1992 Nov With the business expansion, increased warehouse and work section in Kyoto factory
1994 Feb Started export of material as ingredient for health drink to Korean pharmaceutical company
1994 May With the business expansion, established new manufacture facilities, culture room and maturation room in Kyoto factory

2002 Aug Opened sales department branch office in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo
2002 Aug Confirmed the blood platelet aggregation inhibitory effect of "The Fermented Soybean Extract NSK-SD" and applied for patent

2002 Sep With the business expansion, increased warehouse and packing finish room in Kyushu factory
2003 Feb Started export of "The Fermented Soybean Extract NSK-SD" to United States
Transfer the sole distributorship in U.S to a Japanese pharmaceutical company
2003 Jun Succeeded disintegration of the Fermented Vegetable Extract "BIOZYME" Started distribution of "BIOZYME-MC"
2004 Oct Obtained ISO9001:2000 certificate certification with headquarter and Kyushu Factory in development and manufacture of the fermented vegetable extract,the fermented soybean extract and its related products.
2005 Oct ISO9001 certification of Tokyo Branch was expanded to ISO9001:2000.
2005 Nov Enlarged Kyushu Factory to establish new R&D building,in order to enforce R&D organization and production units.
