Introducing Japan-Made Astaxanthin
Astaxanthin is a type of carotenoid mainly produced by plants and algae, known
for its red pigment. Among carotenoids such as β-carotene and lycopene, it is recognized as one of the most
powerful antioxidants. Haematococcus pluvialis, a type of microalgae, is
known to accumulate
astaxanthin in response to environmental stress. Utilizing this characteristic, we produce astaxanthin
derived from
Haematococcus. We are the first in Japan to successfully cultivate Haematococcus using an indoor closed
panel. From cultivation to extraction, the entire process is conducted domestically, ensuring genuine
Japan-made astaxanthin. We provide high-quality, high-concentration astaxanthin derived from Haematococcus pluvialis carefully cultivated under strict control at our own
plant.
Overview
How Astaxanthin “Astaphyll” is Made
At our company, we cultivate Haematococcus using
indoor closed panels, which
significantly reduce the risk of contamination by other algae or unwanted microorganisms. This controlled
system allows us to maintain optimal growing conditions at all times. We can ensure a stable, year-round
supply as the process is not affected by weather.
